Stephanie Bongiovi, 19-year-old daughter of rocker Jon Bon Jovi, will not be charged after a reported heroin overdose in her dorm at Hamilton College in upstate New York. Bongiovi was found unresponsive by an ambulance crew sent to the college early Wednesday, after a report that a female had apparently overdosed in the school's largest dorm. Police searched the dorm and found heroin, marijuana and drug paraphernalia.

Police have arrested a 76-year-old Miami, FL man in connection with an elaborate kidnap for ransom plot on the Main Line. Radnor police say John Felder attempted to abduct a Villanova resident last Wednesday. He was tracked down and arrested in the Poconos trying to buy a gun at gun show. The Philly Pops, presented by Encore Series Inc., have announced they have hired the successor to music director Peter Nero. Nero, a Grammy-winning jazz pianist and pops conductor, has been the Pops' musical leader since the it was founded in 1979. This is his last year at the podium. His exit was negotiated as part of the Pops' chapter 11 petition filed in April, 2011.

Around three dozen people were hurt this afternoon when a school bus carrying 36 students crashed along the Garden State Parkway near mile marker 34. The bus had just left Charter Tech High School in Somers Point and was heading north on the Parkway when one of the tires blew. Camden, NJ, has now tied the record number of homicides in a year for the city set back in 1995. A man who was beaten on November 2nd died as a result of his injuries yesterday at 12:30 pm. Gregory Holder, 45 of Cherry Hill became the 58th victim of homicide this year. He was assaulted during an argument with two men over a drug transaction.
