Trenton Hostage Standoff Continues; Two Dead, Children still hostage on second day |

A hostage standoff in Trenton, NJ has gone over 24 hours. Two people are dead inside the home on the 200 block of Grand Street and multiple children are being held hostage inside. It continues as of 8:00 pm Saturday.
UPDATE: Officers stormed the house at 3:45 a.m. on Sunday. The man was shot to death. Three children were rescued and two bodies were recovered.

Two people are dead inside a home in Trenton, NJ as a hostage situation continues as of 8:00 p.m. Saturday. A man in Walnutport, Northampton County, PA, north of Allentown, looked out his kitchen window Tuesday night and saw what he thought was a giant wild turkey. When Robert Leseberg went out to get a closer look at the bird it easily stood up over the 6' 3” man. He realized the 'turkey' was indeed an exotic emu and left the bird alone. The body of missing 22-year-old Paige Aiello has been found under the George Washington Bridge. The senior communications major and tennis captain at The College of New Jersey went missing from her parent's home on April 9th in Hillsborough, NJ.
Her purse, cellphone and car keys were found along the south walkway of the George Washington Bridge a month ago and her car was recovered from a parking garage in New Brunswick, NJ near the train station. New York Harbor police searched... Read More |

A young child was injured in the Cedarbrook section of Philadelphia when a large television fell on him. Police were called to the 1100 block of East Sydney Street in Cedarbrook at around 4pm. A 40 inch tube-style TV had toppled over and fell on a 2-year-old boy. He suffered head injuries and was in critical condition. He was rushed to Albert Einstein Medical Center.

Phillies right-hander pitcher Roy Halladay has a bone spur in his right shoulder that will require minor surgery to clean up. He is optimistic that he will be able to come back and be effective and pitch. He announced at a press conference at 2 pm this afternoon in San Francisco. The jury in the Kermit Gosnell murder trial wrapped up deliberations for a sixth day this afternoon. Today jurors requested the full testimony of Lynda Williams. Williams is one of Gosnell's former employees who assisted with abortions at Gosnell's West Philadelphia clinic, Women's Medical Society.
