Delaware County meets Hollywood tonight at the 85th Annual Academy Awards. "Silver Linings Playbook" was filmed extensively in Upper Darby, Ridley Park, Lansdowne, and Ridley Township (and of course throughout Philadelphia). The Llanerch Diner, Archbishop Prendergast, Lansdowne Theater, Norristown State Hospital, Jewelers Row and Lincoln Financial Field were some of most recognizable landmarks featured during the October 2011 filming of the breakout film of last year.

An explosion that rocked Haddon Heights, NJ this afternoon around 3:30 left only a shell of a house that had contained five apartments after it was engulfed in flames. All residents of the building have been accounted for and two people were taken to area hospitals with injuries. One victim was taken to Our Lady of Lourdes Medical Center. A young autistic man and his caretaker were shot this afternoon after being mistaken for burglars by an off-duty Camden police officer. The 21-year-old autistic man, Louis Medina, was on his way home from school when he banged on the door of the officer. The off-duty cop thought his house was being broken into and fired through the ajar door. Medina was shot in the arm and is in stable condition however his caretaker was more seriously wounded. A Villanova sophomore, 19-year-old Tyler Jones, has admitted to taking and uploading videos of three separate females undressing in a bathroom. The videos were all taken in the same bathroom from Jones' family home in Switzerland in 2012 and 2011. One of the women was 17 at the time and thus underage. The NCAA has sued in federal court just a few hours after Gov. Tom Corbett signed legislation into law today that is designed to keep the $60 million fine levied against Penn State following the Sandusky scandal inside the state of Pennsylvania. The law is called the Pennsylvania Institution of Higher Education Monetary Penalty Endowment Act. Police are currently involved in a standoff with an armed gunman at an apartment complex in Warminster, Bucks County. The man has barricaded himself inside the Jefferson On The Creek Apartment complex at 675 East Street Road. The annual Penn State 46 hour dance marathon, which was held this weekend from Friday, Feb. 15 6pm. to Sunday, Feb 17 4pm, has raised a record $12,374,034.26. THON benefits pediatric cancer patients with the money going to The Four Diamonds Fund at Penn State Hershey Children's Hospital. This year's total significantly shatters last year's record $10.6 million total.

The Friday arrest of 19-year-old Christina Regusters in the kidnapping of 5-year-old Nailla Robinson was a huge break in the case that has been tough to crack for the Special Victims Unit task force. Police have taken four people into custody this afternoon in connection with the abduction of 5-year-old Nailla Robinson last month. Authorities are also executing a search warrant on a house on the 6200 block of Walton Avenue in West Philadelphia in the Cobbs Creek neighborhood. Police questioned three women from that same exact house and took evidence for DNA testing last week.
