Today, a Philadelphia man admitted that he illegally enrolled his daughter in a suburban Montgomery County school district. Hamlet Garcia had been charged with felony theft of services but plead guilty to a summery offense of the school code as part of a deal. If the case went to trial and he was convicted he could have faced 7 years in prison, now he just has to pay back $11,000 owed for tuition. Charges against Garcia's wife Olesia were dropped. Federal prosecutors have decided not to continue to pursue the remaining racketeering and gambling charges against reputed mob boss Joseph Ligambi. Ligambi was acquitted last week of witness tampering while the jury deadlocked on three other charges in the retrial. He faced a third trial, but the U.S. Attorney filed a motion Monday seeking to dismiss the remaining counts. An early morning fire on Saturday in Cape May severely damaged a historic bed and breakfast. Firefighters from the Cape May City Fire Department first responded to the Bedford Inn at 805 Stockton Ave at 5:30 a.m. The blaze was brought under control by 7 a.m. The inn was unoccupied at the time. The building was built in 1883. Officials have yet to determine a cause of the fire, but do not consider it suspicious.

An Honors Math Teacher at Lower Moreland High School has been arrested and charged with having a sexual relationship with a student at the school. Erica Ginnetti, a 33-year-old mother of 3 from Philadelphia, first approached the 17-year-old boy at the prom last May and asked him if he wanted to work out at her gym. Philadelphia will see another round of accumulating snow over the weekend. Saturday's snow will come from a fast-moving clipper system that will drop 1-3" in Philadelphia and its nearby suburbs, with 3-5 inches of snow possible up to the Lehigh Valley and Poconos. The latest incident happened this morning around 9:11 a.m. at the Wells Fargo Bank at 888 Baltimore Pike in Springfield. Ridley Police have confirmed two weather related deaths blamed on the recent snow storm. The two people, a 92-year-old woman and an 89-year-old man, died in separate incidents. The man died after wandering outside overnight into the bitter cold. His family discovered that he was not in his bed and found him in a neighbor's yard only wearing underwear.
