Raghunandan Yandamuri, 26, of Upper Merion, Montgomery County was ordered to be held for trial at a preliminary hearing today. On October 22, he allegedly murdered 61 year old Satayrathi Venna as she fought back Yandamuri's attempt to kidnap her 10 month old granddaughter, Saanvi Venna. He placed a handkerchief in Saavni's mouth and blanket over her head then carried her off in a suitcase. Delaware County police are asking the public's help in finding a woman that has been missing for a week. Debra Miller of Essington left her home last Sunday, November 18 to the go to the grocery store, but never returned. She has not been seen or heard from since. The authorities do not suspect foul play but they have searched the wooded areas around her home anyway. The City of Philadelphia has announced Free parking at meters and kiosks every Saturday beginning at 11 a.m. and going to 5 p.m. until December 29th. Hurricane Sandy did extensive damage up and down the New Jersey coast. In Seaside Heights, NJ it knocked the entire roller coaster of the Funtown Pier off into the ocean. The roller coaster has been sitting in the waves since the October 29th landfall. The Reading Phillies announced on Saturday the new name for the baseball franchise that has been the Double-A minor league affiliate of the Philadelphia Phillies for 46 Years. It was a beautiful day for the Philadelphia Marathon and Half Marathon their 28,500 participants. The sold-out race opened it's doors at the last minute to 1,454 runners from the cancelled New York City Marathon that was to occur just after Hurricane Sandy hit the area.
