The man convicted of killing off-duty Philadelphia police officer Moses Walker Jr. in 2012 during a robbery was sentenced today in court. Rafael Jones was found guilty of first-degree murder by Judge Jeffrey Minehart in a non-jury trial. His accomplice, Chancier McFarland, previously pled guilty. Walker was killed walking to the bus stop after finishing his shift at the 22nd police district in North Philadelphia. Judge Minehart sentenced Jones to a life sentence plus 23 - 47 years with... Philadelphia's own Meek Mill has released another track off his upcoming new album Dreams Worth More Than Money. It's called "Check" and was posted to YouTube on Monday with the simple declaration of #MeekSeason. The track was produced by Metro Boomin. This is the third single released off the new album following "B Boy" and "Monster". The album still doesn't have a release date but is expected sometime this summer. Steve McCurry is a world-renowned photographer based in Chester County most notable for his picture of the "Afghan Girl" on the cover of the June 1985 National Geographic. It was announced today by Chester County District Attorney Tom Hogan that, McCurry's assistant, 32-year-old Bree DeStephano of York, PA, has been charged with theft and related offenses. Two more politicians caught in the undercover bribery sting investigation abandoned by Pennsylvania Attorney General Kathleen Kane and resurrected by Philadelphia District Attorney Seth Williams have pled guilty today. During a concert in Tijuana, Mexico, singer Enrique Iglesias injured his hand while attempting to handle a drone copter. (see video below) The drone is equipped with a camera and is used to capture footage during the show. On some nights, Iglesias will grab it and point the camera around to give the audience a POV shot. A man was caught flying a drone quadcopter over Citizen's Bank Park during Sunday's Phillies/Rockies game. It happened around 4:00 p.m. during the 6th inning. Phillies' security officials noticed the drone flying over the third base gate and then watched it leave the stadium and land outside. Beau Biden, son of Vice President of Joe Biden, died on Saturday at Walter Reed National Military Medical Center in Washington, D.C. after suffering with brain cancer. He was 46. The tour was originally scheduled to hit over 20 arenas across the country this spring but was pushed back due to "production delays" as Iggy worked on her artistic vision for the show.
