Lower Merion police are searching for a suspect who attacked a convenience store clerk over a money order. It happened shortly after midnight on Wednesday, 5/5, at the 7-Eleven store on the 100 block of City Avenue in Bala Cynwyd. The suspect entered the store and asked the clerk for a $5,000 money order. The clerk pointed to a sign that said they don't do money orders after 9 p.m. The suspect then said he wanted his money back, but the clerk told the man he never handed him any money.... Read More |

The mother of a 3-year-old girl found dead in Delaware 18 months ago has now been charged with her murder. A porch pirate accused of dressing like an Amazon delivery driver to steal packages from homes in Fishtown has been arrested. The man was caught on surveillance video stealing the packages from neighbors' doorsteps on the 1300 block of East Oxford Street and riding away on a bicycle. Pennsylvania Governor Tom Wolf announced on Tuesday, 5/4, that all coronavirus COVID-19 mitigation restrictions will be lifted on Memorial Day, May 31. The only exception is the order to wear masks while in public. The mask mandate will be lifted once 70% of Pennsylvanians ages 18 and older are fully vaccinated.
