Former Philadelphia Eagles running back LeSean McCoy will not face any discipline from the NFL for his role in a nightclub brawl in Old City that involved off-duty Philadelphia police officers. It happened around 2:45 a.m. at Recess nightclub on S. 2nd Street back on February 7th. The fight was apparently over an expensive bottle of champagne in the club's VIP section. The Secret Service has released a map detailing road closures and highway restrictions for the upcoming Democratic National Convention in Philadelphia. The convention will be held at the Wells Fargo Center in South Philly from July 25-28th. The road closures will start two days before the convention and end the day after. Video footage of a fatal police involved shooting on Tuesday morning in Baton Rouge, LA, has renewed outrage and protest over police use of force. Uniformed police officers responded to a convenience store where a man selling CD's had threatened someone with a gun. The officers approached 37-year-old Alton Sterling in the parking lot, telling him to get on the ground. He did not respond and officers forced him down. Commuters faced long delays and packed trains today on the first day back to work after SEPTA pulled one third of it's Regional Rail train cars due to a structural problem. Morning trains eventually had to skip stations on the way into Center City because they were full to capacity. Station platforms were crowded with people waiting to go home at the end of the day. SEPTA announced contingency plans today to deal with the reduced Regional Rail fleet due to emergency repairs on around one third of the cars. SEPTA will operate on a modified Saturday schedule Monday - Friday until further notice. Extra trains will be added during rush hours. A father and young son were killed and a third person sent to the hospital after a watercraft accident in Atlantic County on Saturday. It happened just before 5 p.m. in Patcong Creek near Jennings Gateway Marina in Somers Point, NJ. The father and 8-year-old son were out riding on a water ski and collided with another water ski out on the water. The third person was transported to Shore Memorial Hospital with a wrist injury. Late on Thursday night New Jersey Governor Chris Christie ordered the shutdown of all projects funded by the state's transportation trust fund. The executive order comes after the Democratic-led Senate declined to vote on a bill that would replenish the fund. A bill that passed Assembly and was supported by Christie was on the table, but Senate leaders, who support a different plan, decided to let the deadline pass without even a vote.
