Funeral arrangements have been announced for Philadelphia firefighter Lt. Matthew LeTourneau. Matt died while fighting a row home fire on the 2200 block of N. Colorado Street on the morning of Saturday, January 6th 2018.
Two public viewings will be held for Philadelphia Fire Lt. Matt LeTourneau at the Cathedral Basilica of Saints Peter and Paul, followed by a funeral mass. The Cathedral is located at 18th Street & Benjamin Franklin Parkway in Philadelphia.

Doylestown native and international pop star Pink (P!NK) will perform the National Anthem at this year's Super Bowl LII. The game will be played at U.S. Bank Stadium in Minneapolis on February 4th. The former Revel Casino in Atlantic City has been sold and the new owner plans to reopen this summer. Colorado developer Bruce Deifik has purchased the shuttered resort from Florida developer Glenn Straub for $200 million. It will now be called the Ocean Resort Casino. The Revel cost $2.4 billion to build and closed in 2014 after only being open for two years and never turning a profit. Straub bought the facility for $82 million in bankruptcy court. A fire in North Philadelphia this morning has claimed the life of a veteran firefighter and a resident of the home. 42-year-old Lt. Matt LeTourneau, an 11-year veteran, was pulled from the fire after an interior collapse. Two other firefighters were also injured as well as a neighbor who was taken to the hospital in critical

Just days after being sworn in, Philadelphia District Attorney Larry Krasner has started making sweeping changes to the office. On Friday, he fired 31 assistant district attorneys, including many veterans and some on homicide cases. Those dismissed today described being called in, told the news, and escorted out with a box of their belongings and without explanation. Today's snowstorm dropped modest amounts of snow around the Philadelphia area, but closer to the shore they officially experienced blizzard conditions. The National Weather Service defines a blizzard as 35 mph winds, less than ¼ mile visibilities, and large amounts of blowing and drifting snow for at least 3 hours. With a major winter storm bearing down on the Delaware Valley, everyone in the area is preparing. The Jersey Shore is expecting the brunt with Blizzard Warnings and 6-10 inches forecast. Longtime defense and civil rights attorney, Larry Krasner, was sworn in today as Philadelphia's new District Attorney. He took his oath of office on Tuesday in Verizon Hall at the Kimmel Center. Krasner has promised to make changes in the justice system. A University of Pennsylvania student and his family were on the charter flight that crashed in Costa Rica on Sunday. The crash killed 10 US citizens and 2 local crew. William Steinberg was a freshman at Penn. He was on the plane with his parents, Bruce and Irene Steinberg, and brothers, Matthew and Zachary. They are from Scarsdale, NY.
