Junior Guard Dominic Cheek has decided to skip his senior year at Villanova and enter the 2012 NBA draft.
"I appreciate all the help I have gotten from my teammates, coaches and friends during my time at Villanova," said Cheek in a statement. "At this point in my life, I feel this is the best decision for me and my family. I am excited to get started with the process of pursuing my dream of playing in the NBA."

Hundreds of firefighters gathered in Northeast Philadelphia today to say goodbye to Lt. Robert Neary and FF Daniel sweeney. Both firefighters lost his life while fighting a five-alarm warehouse blaze in Kensington on Monday. Firefighters from Texas to Canada came to pay respects to these fallen heroes. Neary, 59, and Daniel Sweeney, 25, were killed by a wall and roof collapse.

Charges against George Zimmerman will be filed Wednesday afternoon in the shooting death of Trayvon Martin. Zimmerman had not been charged previously under Florida's 'stand your ground' law which allows an individual to use deadly force if they feel their life is threatened or in danger. Gov. Special Prosecutor Angela Corey announced from Sanford, FL, that George Zimmerman will be charged with second-degree murder. He is currently in custody. This decision comes after a weekend where his youngest daughter, 3-year-old Bella, spent time in the hospital. Two Philadelphia firemen from Ladder 10 lost their lives early this morning while battling a massive warehouse fire in Kensington. Lt. Robert Neary was 59 and FF Daniel Sweeney was 25. The 5 alarm blaze was mostly under control at the time. Two others were also injured when they all were checking on a hose line in an adjacent building when the wall and roof suddenly collapsed on them.
