At least 8 people were killed and close to a dozen were injured when a man drove a rented truck down a crowded bike path in Lower Manhattan on Tuesday afternoon. It happened around 3:05 p.m. on the Hudson River Greenway bike path near the West Side Highway. The man drove a rented Home Depot pickup truck along the path from West Houston to Chambers Streets, or about 14 blocks, hitting many bikers and joggers along the way before purposely slamming into a school bus. A photo has surfaced from a Halloween party of a student at a Pennsylvania college dressed as former San Francisco 49ers quarterback Colin Kaepernick with someone else pointing a gun at his head. Officials at Dickinson College in Carlisle, PA are investigating the incident. A Delaware County man has been accused of raping multiple young boys. District Attorney Jack Whelan announced the arrest of 43-year-old Michael Cripps of Colwyn. He allegedly has abused 5 boys. Whelan says that Cripps befriends women who have young boys and then uses that relationship to get close to the victims. Authorities believe there may be more victims. A 16-year-old person-of-interest, now murder suspect, wanted in connection to the shooting deaths of two other teens in South Philadelphia earlier this week turned himself in to police on Friday evening. Brandon Olivieri was identified by police when they announced the arrest warrant on Friday afternoon. Gunfire that rang out early Friday morning in South Philadelphia is connected to the murder of two teen boys earlier this week. Over a dozen shots were fired at a home near 16th and Juniper Streets at around 1:30 a.m. this morning. Police Commissioner Richard Ross says that it is the home of a person-of-interest in the case. Councilman-at-large David Oh joined about a hundred protesters outside of City Hall this morning who were rallying against an ordinance that say is disproportionately levied against minority businesses specifically Chinese takeout restaurants. The 2005 law called the '11 P.M. A 21-year-old man kidnapped from his Lancaster County home this morning has been found unharmed and safe and his abductor is in custody. It happened around 12:30 a.m. Wednesday on Concord Lane in Columbia Borough. 31-year-old Dustin Wetten was armed with a handgun and kicked his way into 21-year-old Jordan Fischer's home. Philadelphia Police have named the two 16-year-old boys shot to death in South Philadelphia last night. They have been identified as Caleer Miller and Salvatore DiNubile. DiNubile was junior at St. Joe's Prep and was on the hockey team. Miller was a junior at Mastery Charter School. Philadelphia Police are conducting a manhunt for the getaway driver who escaped police custody following a shooting in North Philadelphia. The shooting took place before 7:30 p.m. on the 4000 block of L Street in Juniata. A 24-year-old man was shot in the chest. He was taken to the hospital and is in stable condition. Former Philadelphia District Attorney Seth Williams was sentenced today to the maximum 5 years in federal prison. Under a plea deal, Williams pled guilty to one count of bribery halfway into his corruption trial in June. In exchange, the other 28 charges were dropped. He was accused of taking gifts, vacations, and cash in exchange for political favors. He was also accused of using campaign money for personal expenses and city vehicles for personal trips.
