President-elect Donald Trump has asked Vice President-elect Mike Pence to take over the transition team as they prepare for the White House. He will be taking the reigns from New Jersey Governor Chris Christie who had been leading the transition efforts pre-election. Christie will now be one of several vice chairs. The state of New Jersey has now taken power over the struggling Atlantic City. The New Jersey Local Finance Board voted 5-0 Wednesday to take over the city's main governmental functions. The state Department of Community Affairs rejected the city's proposed 5-year financial turnaround plan presented last week. SEPTA and TWU Local 234 announced early this morning that they have reached a tentative agreement to end the strike. The announcement came at 5:30 a.m. Monday. Officials said SEPTA service would be restored in phases during the day on Monday. Subways were running by 9 a.m., trolleys were up by mid morning. Philadelphia Police have arrested a man wanted for stealing laptops from a car belonging to campaign staffers for Hillary Clinton.
