Attorneys for the two Hungarian students who were killed in the collision accident in July 2010 between a tugboat pushed barge and a stranded tourist Duck Boat, have released a new video of the event that they say contains disturbing details of what actually happened.

'May Day' brought out a hundred or so Occupy protestors in Center City today. Starting out at the Wells Fargo at 17th and Chestnut around noon then moving through the streets they blocked traffic for a while at 18th and Walnut. They were under the watchful eye of Philadelphia Police the entire time, who had wagons lined up in case they needed to make mass arrests. Those proved to be unnecessary here in Philly. Sunoco Inc. is being acquired for $5.3 billion by a Texas pipeline company, Energy Transfer Partners of Dallas. Sunoco will maintain it's headquarters in Philadelphia after the merger, but will still be exiting the refinery business in this area as planned.

The injured Bald Eagle found in a Broomall parking lot on April 17 is recovering well, but not 100 percent yet. The large bird was found by a maintenance man emptying the trash barely alive, but still breathing. It turns out the bird had been shot, then apparently hit by a car, and had lead poisoning. Case no. 0442 is now being treated at the Schuylkill Center for Environmental Education in Roxborough, where it can now stand but is still disoriented and can't yet fly in the outdoor flight cage... Tomorrow is National Prescription Drug Take-Back Day. Expired and unwanted medications pose threats both to abusers and the water supply. Never flush drugs and if you dispose in the trash, do so in a plastic bag with coffee grounds or kitty litter. The safest way is to use the Take Back program. The $172.7 million Powerball jackpot from 4/25/12 was sold at a newsstand in The Gallery at Market East in Philadelphia. The winner? Well it's actually winners. The ticket belongs to a group of SEPTA transit workers consisting of about 40 members. The co-workers buy tickets together all the time and work on the same floor. Police in Northeast Philadelphia have arrested a suspect, David Toledo, who lives on Aldine Street in Mayfair. That is the same street that bore the brunt of the attacks. David also belongs to the Aldine/Teesdale block watch group that was setup after the rash of attacks began. Toledo himself reported acts of tire vandalism to his own car and his wife's vehicle to the police, and talked to several media outlets during coverage of the attacks about being terrorized by the slasher and not knowing... It seems like the wild animals have gotten spring fever. Upper Darby is on the lookout for a raccoon who bit a 15 year old girl on the leg. The victim was staying overnight at her boyfriend's parents' and woke to use the bathroom when the raccoon who had climbed in the house bit her on the leg and ran. The Beach Boys have just unveiled a clip of "That's Why God Made the Radio," the first single off their reunion album. The album of new material is due to hit shelves on June 5th. The group split up in the late 1990s and toured separately. Last year, they put any animosity off to the side and reunited for a tour.
