14 students and a bus driver were taken to the hospital after their school bus overturned in Lancaster County on Wednesday morning. It happened around 8 a.m. on Route 30 at Route 896 in East Lampeter Township. The students were between 13 and 16 years old from Lancaster Mennonite School. The teen who organized a bike ride of over a 100 kids, teens, and adults along I-676 last month in celebration of his birthday has been sentenced to probation. The now 17-years-old prominent Philadelphia BMX rider, "One Way" Corey Murray, used his prolific Instagram account to invite riders to join a rideout on April 23rd. Two people were killed after a private jet from Philadelphia crashed near an airport in North Jersey. The Learjet 35 took off from Philadelphia International Airport at 3:04 p.m. Monday. The FAA reports that the plane crashed on approach to Teterboro Airport in Bergen County, NJ at 3:30 p.m. about a half mile from the airport. Students traveling from a Philadelphia school to Washington DC on a field trip were injured when their charter bus overturned on I-95 in Maryland this morning. 26 eighth-grade students, two staff members, one parent chaperone and the driver were on board when the bus flipped over in the Havre de Grace area around 9:25 a.m. The students were from the Charles W. Beloved actress and singer Jane Norman, who many baby boomers remember as "Pixanne," has passed away in her Bala Cynwyd home at age 83. She was born in Philadelphia and by age three was already an accomplished musical prodigy playing Bach and Beethoven. She graduated from Cheltenham High School and earned a degree in music from Temple University with minors in broadcasting and drama.

Pennsylvania Attorney General Josh Shapiro announced charges against train engineer Brandon Bostian in the crash of Amtrak 188 two years ago on May 12, 2015. The charges include 8 counts of involuntary manslaughter, one count of causing or risking a catastrophe and numerous counts of reckless endangerment. The Trenton man who held off police for 35 hours while barricaded inside his home this week has been charged with killing an innocent bystander during the ordeal. 35-year-old Tyleeb Reese has been charged with the murder of 56-year-old Robert Powell Jr. Powell was hit in the ankle, hip, and back by Reese's shotgun blasts. Six former guards at Montgomery County Correctional Facility in Eagleville, PA have been arrested for assaulting two inmates. They have been charged with aggravated and simple assault, conspiracy and other offenses. It happened on February 14th. Surveillance video shows that inmates Derrick Houlihan and Matthew Ruffings were beaten while in their cell. Houlihan, who wears a prosthetic leg, was taken to the medical facility and beaten again. A standoff with police in Trenton, NJ, ended peacefully late this afternoon after a tense 35 hours. 35-year-old Tyleeb Reese walked out of his home with his hands up and surrendered to police at around 5 p.m. Thursday. A Delaware County Catholic High School senior has been arrested and charged with possessing thousands of child pornography images and videos, mostly of local high school and middle school boys. 18-year-old Derrick Jones of Glenolden is charged with dissemination of child porn, unlawful use of a computer, harassment, stalking and other crimes.
