Tens of Thousands of runners will hit Broad Street tomorrow morning heading from Olney to the Navy Yard in the ten mile Broad Street Run. This year the race bibs were a premium as a lottery system this past winter was used just to get access to register. Philadelphia City Council passed a bill 15-0 to allow advertising on city owned property. The next steps would be to determine which city properties and buildings would be appropriate for advertising. The Nutter administration would be in charge of signing a contract with a vendor that would manage the advertising. Temple University has asked a Canadian high school to stop using an owl mascot logo that looks surprisingly like it's own. The school in Kelowna, British Columbia has agreed to change it's symbol. The high school's flying owl design is virtually identical to Temple's, save for a difference in color. Police in Reading are searching for a suspect in a shocking crime last night after a worker at a corner store was doused with gasoline and set on fire. 32-year-old Joel Fontanez was working behind the counter at the Citi Sub & Grocery Store at 8pm when he was attacked. Firefighters responded to a call of a fire and found Fontanez in a gutter across the street. Investigators are looking for witnesses and the suspect. They do not know why he was attacked. Three more suspects have been taken into custody in the Boston Marathon bombings. Boston police tweeted this morning that they have brought in three additional suspects in connection to the attack on Monday, April 15th when two bombs exploded near the finish line killing 3 and injuring more than 260 people.

There will be increased security at this weekend's Broad Street Run which stretches 10 miles from North Philly to the Navy Yard. Mayor Michael Nutter has promised that racers and spectators can expect a visible security presence. Racers picking up their race packets and bags will notice they are receiving clear bags instead of cloth to put their race day gear inside. Neutral Milk Hotel has announced that they will be getting back together after 15 years to tour for a few select dates. The indie rock outfit consisting of Jeff Mangum, Jeremy Barnes, Scott Spillane and Julian Koster haven't played live together since 1999. Their last album was 1998's In the Aeroplane Over the Sea.

The driver involved in a fatal crash in Chester County on Friday night has had five previous DUI arrests. Police say 49-year-old Robert Landis of West Chester was travelling at a high rate of speed in his pick-up truck when he turned into 24-year-old Liam Crowley riding on a motorcycle. The accident happened at 10:28 p.m. near Route 202 and Stanton Avenue in Westtown Township. Crowley was taken to Paoli Hospital with serious injuries and died on Sunday night.
