The Pennsylvania Gaming Control Board announced its decision this afternoon to award the second Philadelphia casino license to the Live! Hotel & Casino project which will be located in South Philadelphia near the stadium complex. The project is a joint venture between Cordish Companies and Greenwood Gaming. The suspect wanted in connection with the vandalism on Manayunk's new Venice Island Park has turned himself into police. Northwest Detective Division received an anonymous tip over the weekend identifying the teenager in the surveillance video. The 15-year-old was charged with criminal mischief. Demolition crews working in Center City will try to remove the iconic PNB signs off the top of One South Broad Street for the second time. The first attempt happened on August 17th but the 16-foot letters were too fragile and only three were removed. This time the letters will be wrapped in a protective coating before being lowered to the street by helicopter. There will be road closures beginning at 6 a.m. and lasting until 4 p.m. all around City Hall.

An armed robbery suspect shot by Delaware State Troopers this afternoon has died. The suspect has been identified as 41-year-old William 'Billy' McNulty, of Claymont, DE. Both robberies occurred on Friday morning. Authorities say that around 6:00 a.m. he approached a female withdrawing cash from the ATM at the M&T Bank located at 3530 Philadelphia Pike armed with a gun. The Rothman Ice Rink at Dilworth Park next to City Hall in Philadelphia officially opened this afternoon. It's the final piece to be shown in the revamping of the former Dilworth Plaza. The rink replaces the fountains and tables of the warmer weather. This rink features real ice tended by a real Zamboni so the skate is nice and smooth. Pennsylvania authorities have charged trooper ambush suspect Eric Frein with two counts of terrorism Thursday. He was already charged with first degree murder in the September 12th shooting of Cpl. Bryon Dickson at the Blooming Grove State Police barracks. Police found a letter addressed to "Mom and Dad" on a thumb drive that belonged to Frein. The former Showboat Casino on the Atlantic City boardwalk found a buyer today in Richard Stockton College of New Jersey. Stockton College in Absecon, NJ, entered into a purchasing plan with Caesars Entertainment. It plans to use the 28-acre, 1,425,000 square-foot facility as a satellite campus. Stockton President Herman Saatkamp could not reveal any more details such as price or closing date because of a confidentiality agreement. The Showboat was closed on August 31st.

Four people were injured this afternoon in a serious crash involving a school bus and a sedan in Princeton, NJ, in Mercer County. It happened around 3:00 pm on Route 206 (Lawrenceville Road) near Hutchinson Drive. A BMW sedan driving north on SH 206 crossed into the path of the school bus which was going south at a curve in the road.
